Our Social Value Statement
We want our impact to reach beyond the programmes we deliver. The way we work together and the way we show up for our communities matters just as much as the outcomes we help teams achieve. These commitments guide how we behave as an organisation and how we grow.
Team volunteering
Every member of staff has two paid days each year to volunteer. We choose what matters to us, from local community projects to national charities. It gives us time to step outside our day to day work and contribute to something that strengthens the places we live.
Like-minded Service Providers
We look for service providers who share our values. This includes organisations with strong B Corp status, clear environmental commitments or practices that show care for people and the planet. An example of this is our work with Optimise IT, whose approach aligns well with our own. Choosing collaborators like these helps us stay consistent with the standards we set for ourselves and supports a more responsible way of working.
Environmental Vigilance
We are shaping a Xytal approach to environmental responsibility that feels practical and relevant. This includes the way we deliver our work, how we travel and how we use resources. We have now reached carbon neutral status, which reflects our commitment to operating responsibly and reducing our impact. This sits alongside our Employee Benefit Trust model, which encourages decisions that support long term value for our people, our partners and the wider system.
Diversity and Opportunity
We want Xytal to be a place where different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives are welcomed.
Charitable Giving
We will be supporting the Mind Association as our chosen charity. Mental health affects every part of life and work, and the support Mind offers to individuals and families aligns closely with our own commitment to wellbeing.
Alongside this, we continue to work with Akamaba Aid. This relationship has grown over many years and gives us the chance to offer our expertise where it can make a real difference. Our team contribute time, skills and practical support to help strengthen local health initiatives and community projects.
Both partnerships reflect what matters to us. We want our contribution to go beyond funding. We want to share knowledge, build relationships and support organisations that improve lives in ways that last.
Community Support
We stay connected to the communities around us. This includes support for organisations whose work aligns with our purpose and discretionary time for staff who want to contribute to local schools or community groups.
Across Xytal, our staff give their time and energy to a wide range of causes. This includes local mental health groups, community mentoring schemes, national charities focused on prevention and wellbeing, and organisations offering support to people living with illness. Some team members volunteer directly, others provide practical help or financial contributions.
These activities reflect the values our people hold and show how personal commitment can strengthen the impact we make together.
Supporting our Staff
Being an Employee Benefit Trust gives us a structure that centres fairness and shared responsibility. Alongside our B Corp commitments, it helps us agree what good support looks like.
Work Experience
From 2026 we plan to introduce a structured work experience programme. The aim is to give people a genuine insight into improvement, consultancy and the NHS landscape. We want this to be a practical pathway that encourages personal development.
