Who is Xytal?

Having originally met on the University of Bath MBA program, Dr Richard More and Kevin Ball founded Xytal in 2006 with the aim of applying their learning and knowledge to benefit individuals and teams in general practice, at a time when concepts such as the Quality and Outcomes Framework and ‘population health management’ were new and little understood.

In simple terms, Xytal is a healthcare process improvement company, helping general practice, PCNs and ICSs to become more efficient, effective and productive. However, none of this can happen without our focus on people, as ultimately healthcare services are delivered by people, for people.

We don't just deliver the WHAT, we show you the HOW

We are guided by our shared values, energy & enthusiasm

We have the expertise to deliver bespoke end-to-end solutions

With 14 years of steady growth providing support for over 1,000 primary care health teams throughout the UK, GP Richard leads the team on a day-to-day basis with Kevin remaining involved as a non-executive director. Xytal currently consists of a core management and operations team, supported by a diverse and highly experienced network of consultants who are responsible for delivering our range of programmes and products to general practices, PCNs and ICSs. Our people are all committed to our common aspiration and mission:

“To Make a Material Difference to Healthcare in this Country”

Our approach is to blend a detailed knowledge of and experience in healthcare services and processes with the best, tried and tested approaches and solutions from the business, research and private sector worlds. Many of our consultants are still active in front-line primary care, and this experience is complemented by our consultants who have business process, management and analytical backgrounds.

Xytal is an active contributor to NHS national improvement programmes

Our successes and recognition include:

Delivery partners for NHS England’s ‘Time for Care’ programme.

Accredited suppliers under the Health Systems Support Framework.

Pre-approved suppliers for London-wide local medical committees

Appointment to the Cardiff and Vale specialist support framework

Akamba Aid Fund

One of Xytal’s wider aims since its founding and as the business has grown has been to provide funding and support for good causes. We are immensely proud to be able to support the Akamba Aid Fund, an independent UK charity helping to relieve poverty, sickness and distress, coupled with the advancement of education, in Kenya. The Akamba Aid Fund focuses on:

  • Provision of clean water and sanitation
  • General health, including focus on eye care and women’s health
  • Education at Primary and Secondary level

Over the past 3 years we have closely followed the progress of projects we have supported including the construction of a new and permanent washroom block, dining room and kitchen. To find out more about this amazing charity, please visit: https://www.akambaaidfund.org/
