Building upon the Health Education England enhanced care navigation competencies for practice receptionists initiative, this modular programme has been designed to deliver meaningful improvements in patient signposting and communication that enhances patient satisfaction and autonomy, reduces patient dependence and improves staff confidence.

Our flexible programme is ideal for general practice teams, PCNs or any primary care provider with a desire to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction through use of optimised and proven care navigation or social prescribing techniques.

How it works

Flexibility is at the core of our Enhanced Care Navigation and Person-Centred Skills solution, with each programme being tailored to the unique needs of each practice if required. With programme delivery available either a face-to-face or online, our experienced consultants can deliver these highly interactive and popular learning sessions in the following ways:

  • 7 session programme – ideal for general practice teams
  • 12 session programme – perfect for PCN level learning
  • Modular programme – a customised approach allowing focus on specific areas of need, for example person-centred interviewing skills

Topics covered include assessing processes and procedures from a patient’s perspective; improved understanding of who does what within a practice; self-care strategies; and practical improvements in valuable person-centred communication skills.
