What does it achieve?
The Department Support Programme is delivered through a series of modules for Radiology Departments and Community Diagnostic Hubs to improve how they work together.
The programme is based on proven improvement tools and techniques and is designed to improve safety, staff wellbeing, productivity, and patient experience.
Numerous national reports from the NHS and Professional bodies and accounts from colleagues working in Radiology highlight the here and now challenges that departments are facing. This programme has been developed to address the real-world, everyday challenges facing front line staff.
Who is this for?
The programme is for any Radiology or Imaging setting ranging from Imaging Networks through Hospital Departments and the newly forming Community Diagnostic Hubs.
How it works
The programme is delivered through a series of modules utilising proven improvement techniques.
Each module consists of a series of facilitated team sessions over several weeks, either in person or virtually.
The modules can be delivered either as a one off, in a cluster of related modules to address challenges or as a structured improvement programme.
The programme includes a variety of modules which focus on different areas of work within the department such as reporting, referrals, skills mix and interruptions. We support teams to choose modules which will address real operational issues and make the most impact for departments.
